Exosomes are small vesicles (30–150 nm) secreted by cells, containing RNA and proteins, and are abundantly present in body fluids such as blood, saliva, urine, and milk. They are considered to function as intercellular messengers, transferring effectors or signaling molecules between specific cells. However, their structure, cargo composition, and biological pathways remain only partially understood.
To study the biological functions of exosomes, it is essential to isolate intact and pure vesicle particles. Traditional ultracentrifugation methods are labor-intensive, require specialized equipment, and are technically demanding.
The Exosome Extraction Kit developed by Umibio is specifically optimized for isolating exosomes from milk samples, enabling rapid and efficient recovery of high-quality exosome particles.
The purified exosomes are suitable for a wide range of downstream applications, including:
- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
- Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA)
- Nucleic acid and protein analysis
- Cellular studies
- Animal experiments
