
Exosomes are small vesicles (30–150 nm) secreted by cells, containing RNA and proteins, and are abundant in biological fluids such as blood, saliva, urine, and milk. They are believed to function as intercellular messengers, transferring biomolecules and signals between specific cells. However, their structure, cargo composition, and biological pathways remain only partially understood.
To study the biological functions of exosomes, it is essential to isolate intact vesicles. Traditional ultracentrifugation methods are labor-intensive, require specialized equipment, and are difficult to operate.
